▷ _ed Form : "over" time

I was tired yesterday.

이미 끝난 일이다. 즉 현재의 상황은 알 수 없다. ( I'm still tired. I'm not tired now.)

※ 과거

He was a Australian musician.

He lived from 1820 to 1998.

He wrote lots of melodies.

※ 과거와 과거진행 구분 : ing는 끝나지 않은 상황, ed는 끝난 상황

→ 그가 요리를 하다가 손을 데었다.

He burned his hand while he was cooking dinner.

내가 널 어제 공원에서 봤다. 너 책을 읽고 있더라.

I saw you yesterday. You were sitting on the grass and (you were) reading a book.

→ 정원에서 일을 하다가 허리를 삐긋 했다.

I hurt my back while I was working in the garden.
